Hiroshima-Nagasaki Time of Remembrance Video 2023

Nagasaki commemoration on August 8, 2023, at the Global Harmony Labyrinth in Como Park, St. Paul, Minnesota.

Three events took place to commemorate the occasion of the atomic bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki:

Saturday, August 5, Commemorative Tea Ceremony, Lyndale Peace Garden, Minneapolis

Sunday, August 6, Hiroshima Commemoration, the Ceremony of the Cranes, Lyndale Park Peace Garden, Minneapolis

Tuesday, August 8, Nagasaki Commemoration, Como Park

The Hiroshima Nagasaki Commemoration Committee offers these events to the community to encourage reflection on the past and hope for the future through action in the present. It calls for the total abolition of nuclear weapons throughout the world as one measure of ensuring a just and lasting peace.

Support from Veterans for Peace, chapter 27, Women Against Military Madness (WAMM), Back from the Brink and the Saint Paul-Nagasaki Sister City Committee.
