Annual Celebration Dinner Recap

The SPNSCC Annual Celebration Dinner 2022 was held on Saturday, December 10th, 2022, at the Minnesota Humanities Center. Forty-five guests were in attendance, as well as over a dozen Sansei Yonsei Kai dancers, led by Linda van Dooijeweert.

The evening's program included a silent auction of the beautiful Japanese dolls left to us by the late Chuck Evans. Over $700 was raised by the auction, and these funds will support SPNSCC activities in 2023 and our Sachiko Scholarships. A big thank-you to those who made purchases!

The family of late president Chuck Evans was in attendance, and Amy Kelley presented a review of some of the SPNSCC projects which he oversaw in 1975-1984. Chuck Evan's daughter, Melissa Anglum made a heart-felt speech which you may read below.

Also honored was our 2022 Chip Fricke Award recipient, Fusako Muro, a long time member, volunteer, and volunteer translator for SPNSCC, as well as former board member. You may read highlights of the congratulatory speeches made in her honor below.
