Former Nagasaki Mayor Tomihisa Taue Visits Cherry Tree Weekend

SPNSCC is thrilled to welcome Tomihisa Taue, mayor of Nagasaki from 2007 to 2023, to Minnesota. Mr. Taue led a 66 member delegation to St. Paul for our 60th anniversary celebration in 2015; he also visited in 2010. Dr. Hirokazu Miyazaki and Dr. Annelise Riles will accompany Mr. Taue, who has been in meetings in Chicago. 

 

Saturday, May 3rd: Mayor Taue will arrive at Como Park around 10 am where he will greet people and enjoy our festivities. He will be guest of honor at an all-American potluck picnic at Phalen Park at 12:30 pm, put on by Sansei Yonsei Kai and SPNSCC.

 

Sunday, May 4th: Former St. Paul mayors Chris Coleman and Jim Scheibel invite all to a forum at Hamline University (free)
